Chemist and Druggist Online Initiative of the Year Winner

We are incredibly proud to announce that The Locum App has won Online Initiative of the Year at the Chemist and Druggist Awards 2020. We were one of seven shortlisted for the award ceremony which took place virtually on 26th November. The awards are known to have tough shortlist criteria and glitz and glamour; this year was no different.

The Locum App has been helping pharmacies fill locum shifts for almost four years; and being revolutionary is part of our DNA. We were the first app-based locum booking platform that connects pharmacies and locums in a similar way to how Uber connects drivers to riders. As a tech company, we’re proud that we encourage pharmacies to build relationships with locums and we want to say “no” to locum agencies.

Today, we continue to challenge the status quo by being the only platform to offer a pharmacist scheduling software combined with a locum booking platform with a flat monthly pricing option.

Our CEO and founder Reece Samani says “The award is a testament to the hard work and innovation that we’ve put in to give us the revolutionary product we have today. Despite the virtual ceremony, there was no lack of noise – the whole team made enough noise for everyone when the winning announcement was made.”

The judges have said “If we can’t get pharmacists into a pharmacy there is no pharmacy – this is a real game changer for our industry. Great work!”
