We couldn’t think of a better way to start our blog than to announce that we are a finalist in the C+D Awards 2020.
The Locum App has been shortlisted for online initiative of the year category for the second time since we launched. This is an extremely exciting year for The Locum App as we have re-launched our platform to add scheduling capabilities to add to our locum booking solution.
With over 1200 locum profiles, we have a strong locum base along with 350 pharmacies (plus branches) registered too. We’re in the middle of exciting discussions with other pharmacy chains and expect to grow the number of pharmacies registered on the app pretty quickly.
Through our unique system pharmacies can schedule vacancies, track locum bookings, quickly reconcile invoices, check average pay rates and check locum expenditure against budgets. It truly creates efficiencies in the end-to-end process surrounding scheduling of staff and locums.
Caroline of Leyes Lane Pharmacy has used the app to post vacancies. “I registered for The LocumApp as soon as it launched as it seemed to be a much quicker way of finding locums. I struggled trying to fit in ringing agencies or fill in online platforms whilst working and the app has been revolutionary for me.
“I can post a shift in seconds and usually I have replies from locums within a couple of hours, often quicker with the added bonus of no agency fees. I cannot praise the app enough; it has taken a huge amount of stress out of my working day”
For locums, the app gives infinite choice over where and when they want to work. Just register a profile and choose to respond to the vacancies posted. Locums are then in touch with pharmacies directly and it’s free to register a locum profile on the app.
We’re working hard to change the way pharmacies connect with their staff and locums. As well as being a rewarding demonstration of our hard work, being a prestigious finalist in the C+D Awards gives us a great opportunity to share our message across the pharmacy community.
The awards ceremony is in December, so watch this space for news of how we get on!
